I’ve used a few different types of software to allow screen sharing, UltraVNC being one of the best. Still, even with that, you would have to do some dynamic dns, magic router gymnastics to get it to work right. Add a firewall to the mix, forget about it.

How could I pass up this opportunity to place such a nice piece of eye candy on the site as the new iPhone. I, for one, think its one of the most beautiful pieces of hardware to hit the market in a long time, and I’m not even a mac fan necessarily!

Here is a nice flash video player. I’ve used it a time or two on client websites. Loads relatively quickly and has a clean look to it. Videos must be in .flv format to play in it.

Google has released a Business level search solution, which is similar to the google custom site search that you have probably seen on many sites.

A simple convenience command line option for using putty for SSH logins…I always run putty from the command line (Windows Key + R).
To take it a step further, for lower security logins, you can add the user/pass to the command line as well. For example:

I’m in the middle of a tech support nightmare with Aplus.net. First of all, I notified them about a problem a month ago (actually a little over 30 days) and they haven’t gotten back to me, so I had to contact them again. So I sent an email…
Obviously that won’t be answered for at least […]

This is a flash player that I use from time to time:
This is a screenshot of a really nice one, but costs $30. Hopefully the makers will give me a free copy of it for the free publicity. Hint, hint.
