I just have to comment on Google’s blog post regarding the proper usage of the word ‘Google’.

Seriously, you guys really need to calm down. I mean I used to be a pretty big google fan body, but with each new google news headline these days you guys are turning into bad guys.

Can you please give me one honest, real-life scenario where the improper usage of your trademark (Google) would have a negative impact on your company, much less your user base, which should be your first priority?

So someone says “googled” when referring to yahoo - WHO CARES? Yes, so the term google gets a little dilluted, it’s not hurting anybody or anything. You guys are still on top of your game.

If you’re still trying to seem like a user-friendly, do-no-evil kind of company, and not a money-hungry advertising machine, I think you could be doing a better job at that by staying away from these seemingly trivial issues.

Just one scenario that would matter at all - just one, please.
